SAF-HOLLAND new standard fifth wheel supplier to Navistar Inc., USA
Luxembourg, November 02, 2016 – The commercial vehicle supplier SAF-HOLLAND has been named as standard supplier for the North American market by the U.S. truck manufacturer Navistar. As a partner and standard supplier, SAF-HOLLAND will deliver fifth wheels for trucks to Navistar International Trucks.
The lightweight HOLLAND FW17 fifth wheel made of cast-steel will be part of the standard equipment on all Class 8 truck models within Navistar’s International(R) LT Series starting in January 2017. The HOLLAND FW17 is one of the lowest weight fifth wheels on the market and is therefore very popular with fleet operators whose key purchase criteria include reducing weight for saving fuel and lowering CO 2 . SAF-HOLLAND also offers a 5-year/500,000-mile performance guarantee on this product, which is a further testament to the product’s superior quality.
With the reference to this position, SAF-HOLLAND expects to generate additional sales in the mid to upper single digit USD million range per year depending on the further development of the North American truck market.
