Elmos Semiconductor AG: Newly Established Elmos Foundation Strengthens Social Engagement

The newly established Elmos Foundation has its domicile in Dortmund (Germany). The foundation’s social program will foster education and science in addition to supporting local activities close to the Elmos Semiconductor AG locations. Support for initiatives to fight global poverty is also part of the program. The foundation will take up its work in the coming months.
The founder of the foundation is Dr. Klaus Weyer who also founded the Elmos Semiconductor AG. After serving as CEO, Klaus Weyer is now a member of the Elmos Supervisory Board. Dr. Weyer underscores his engagement: “Entrepreneurship and social responsibility are twin aspects of working in a community. The Elmos Foundation will carry this basic idea through engagement in various initiatives and lasting support for the common good”.
Dr. Klaus Weyer endowed the Elmos Foundation with financial means. Most of the money will be invested in Elmos Semiconductor AG shares. The dividend payments will finance projects for the common good. In addition, the Elmos AG will donate money to the foundation annually.
The Governing Board of the Elmos Foundation consists of Dr. Anton Mindl, CEO of Elmos Semiconductor AG, Dr. Arne Schneider, CFO of Elmos Semiconductor AG and Walter Kuffner, former Corporate Head of the Bayerische Motoren Werke AG.
