The City of Dortmund dominates Dortmunder Stadtwerke AG. Dortmunder Stadtwerke AG dominates KEB Holding AG. The City of Dortmund holds 1915 common shares and Dortmunder Stadtwerke AG holds 5840 common shares in RWE AG. KEB Holding AG was a shareholder of RWEB GmbH and due to the shareholding contributed 32,852,693 RWE AG common shares into RWEB GmbH. According to the articles of association of RWEB GmbH, RWE AG shares contributed to the company had to be retransferred to KEB Holding AG in case of KEB Holding AG withdrawing as a shareholder of RWEB GmbH. KEB Holding AG withdrew as a shareholder of RWEB GmbH and, therefore, RWEB GmbH transferred 32,852,693 common shares in RWE AG to KEB Holding AG on 22 June 2017.
