Daldrup & Söhne AG: Trial to re-start regular operations of Landau geothermal power plant to begin
– Newly installed security systems will be tested during trial run of full plant operations
– Trial operations projected to last until end of November 2017
Grünwald / Ascheberg, Germany, September 22, 2017 – geox GmbH, a subsidiary of the drilling technology and geothermics specialist Daldrup & Söhne AG (ISIN: DE0007830572), is planning to conduct further – in some instances final – expert tests within the framework of the company’s special operating plan for “the construction / upgrade of the facilities of the primary circulation system of the Landau geothermal power plant for the production of geothermal energy” during the final week of September 2017. In order to run these and further tests, overall operations / a trial operation of the plant will be conducted in close coordination with the relevant regulatory authorities. Trial operations are projected to run until the end of November after which regular operations will start, following regulatory approval.
A special focus will be on live testing the functionality of the plant’s newly installed security and control systems as well as individual safety-critical components. An expert from renowned inspection and certification provider TÜV will support the process.
The city of Landau, geox GmbH and the Rheinland-Pfalz state authority for geology and mining will hold a public information event for Landau residents starting at 7 p.m. on September 26, 2017 at Landau’s Altes Kaufhaus location.

The existing project management and power station expertise means that all stages of value creation can be covered for a deep geothermics project.
