Bastei Lübbe AG announces unplanned write-down on intangible assets of its subsidiary oolipo AG

Cologne, 7. November 2017. Bastei Lübbe AG undertakes an unplanned write-down on intangible assets of its subsidiary oolipo AG. The non-cash write-down will extraordinarily impact the EBIT in the second quarter of the current financial year in the amount of approximately EUR 3 million.

The streaming platform for reading content, developed with considerable financial efforts, has far from reached the expected and necessary user numbers. Over the next months, the Management Board will consider the possibility of differently using or exploiting the technology developed for this purpose.
