Appointment of new Non-executive Director

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.11, the Board of The Bankers Investment Trust PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Ankush Nandra as a Non-executive Director and Audit Committee Chair with effect from 1 September 2023. In addition to being a member of the Audit Committee, he will also be a member of the Management Engagement, Nominations and Insider Committees.

Ankush Nandra has over 20 years' experience mainly in the pharmaceutical industry. He is currently Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) International Region and Enabling Units at AstraZeneca. Prior to joining AstraZeneca Ankush spent several years at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and has also worked with HSBC Investment Bank following qualification as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG.

Ankush is a Non-executive Director of AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited which is an Indian   listed subsidiary of AstraZeneca.  He is also a Non-executive Director and Governor of Oxford Brookes University.
