E.ON and QUANTO: Joint Venture in Customer Service
The energy group E.ON and the management consultancy QUANTO become partners in customer service. Together they are developing a new cloud-based, digital software solution for the energy market. This offers comprehensive functionalities for billing, market communication and customer support for the market roles of sales, network business and metering operators as well as competitive metering operators. It enables energy suppliers of all sizes to meet the challenges of the future – from small municipal utilities to large energy companies. It supports digital transformation and makes innovations possible. The basis for the new system is the “GridLink CIS” software from SmartGrid, which is already in use in the United States.
“Customers expect digital solutions to successfully manage the increasingly complex energy industry and to implement new business models simply and flexibly,” says Malte Sunderkötter, Managing Director of the E.ON Group’s e.kundenservice Netz unit, explaining the need for the software.
Frank Beck, CEO of QUANTO AG says: “Our goal is to create an alternative that makes energy suppliers fit for the future, because the energy industry is changing rapidly”.
E.ON and QUANTO sign the contract for the new partnership at the Hanover Fair on Monday, April 23 at 3 p.m. at E.ON’s booth (Hall 27, Booth L50).
