Change of Benchmark

The Board announces that following a review, the weightings of the Company's blended Benchmark will change to MSCI All Country World ex UK Small Cap Index (80%)/Numis UK Smaller Companies (ex. investment companies) Index (20%), with effect from the commencement of the Company's new financial year on 1 May 2023. The weightings of the two indices within the Benchmark are currently 70% and 30% respectively. This change to the Benchmark, the first since 2010, reflects the evolution of the global investment universe for smaller company stocks. The Manager will continue to seek out the best opportunities from around the world using the same fundamentals-based research process, focusing on finding high quality, well managed smaller listed companies at attractive valuations.

From 1 May 2023, the returns from the MSCI All Country World ex UK Small Cap Index will be included on a net basis, reflecting the fact that the Company suffers withholding tax on the dividends received in many jurisdictions.
