ESG award and investment into ESG expertise

The Board of SEQI is delighted to have been informed by its investment adviser, Sequoia Investment Management Company ("Sequoia"), of two important recent developments regarding Sequoia's approach to fulfilling our ESG strategy.

First, the appointment of Leah Dean, Sequoia's first dedicated ESG Associate. Leah previously worked at one of Europe's leading hedge funds, as an ESG Investment Analyst. There, her wide-ranging responsibilities included integrating ESG into the investment process and advising on client reporting and company engagement.

Second, that Sequoia has been awarded the 2022 global award for Best ESG Infrastructure Investment Strategy by Capital Finance International (CFI), in recognition of its progress against its ESG commitments and framework.
