STEMMER IMAGING expands market share in France by acquiring ELVITEC S.A.S.
STEMMER IMAGING, one of the leading providers of machine vision technology in Europe, has acquired ELVITEC S.A.S. (ELVITEC)’s business in a share deal. ELVITEC is a highly specialised provider of machine vision solutions from France.
STEMMER IMAGING AG (ISIN DE000A2G9MZ9 /WKN A2G9MZ ) continues to consistently implement its growth strategy after its successful IPO. In a share deal, the wholly owned subsidiary STEMMER IMAGING S.A.S. acquired 100 per cent of the shares in the French ELVITEC S.A.S. The company from Pertuis, near Aix-en-Provence, is an established provider of camera solutions for industry, monitoring, and imaging. The Management Board of STEMMER IMAGING AG expects the acquisition to result in an anticipated additional revenue contribution of around EUR 9 million and an EBITDA margin of around 11 per cent at ELVITEC in the 2018/2019 financial year. The company is consolidated retrospectively from 1 July 2018.

As one of the leading providers of machine vision technology, it is important for us to be substantially represented and to grow in key markets. Just like we have set out in our strategy. We are delighted to have found another fitting acquisition target after the successful acquisition of Data Vision at the end of January,” says Lars Böhrnsen, CFO of STEMMER IMAGING AG.
“With ELVITEC, we are augmenting our portfolio with an optimally connected distributor. At the same time, we are strengthening our presence in the French market and our expertise for francophone countries. In short, we have succeeded in acquiring an established provider that is simultaneously the perfect complement for our Group,” says Christof Zollitsch, CEO of STEMMER IMAGING AG.
Both parties initially agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
