He studied economics and holds a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is a Member of the European Parliament of the Democratic Rally of Cyprus (DISY)/European People's Party.

Maria Ioannou Theodorou: Born in Limassol in 1967. She is a member of the Association of Certified Accountants and a Certified Information System Auditor. She is also a member of the Institute of Certified Accountants of Cyprus and the Cyprus Institute of Internal Auditors. Today, she is Chief Internal Auditor of Limassol Cooperative Savings Society Ltd. In the past, she worked in the Audit Office of the Republic of Cyprus for 13 years and in an audit firm for 2 years.
