Chief Financial Officer Joachim Preisig to leave at end of 2018. Ingo Arnold to become new CFO of freenet AG
Büdelsdorf, 4 October 2018 – After over a decade of service, Joachim Preisig has decided to leave the Executive Board of freenet AG on 31 December 2018. The Supervisory Board has selected Ingo Arnold to be his successor.
Joachim Preisig informed the Supervisory Board that he no longer wished to extend his current contract beyond 2019. He has instead decided to pursue a new challenge. The Supervisory Board regrets and respects Mr Preisig’s decision and has prematurely terminated his contract as Chief Financial Officer, effective 31 December 2018.
“We would like to thank Mr Preisig for his dedication and his many great achievements over the last ten years. We wish him all the best, both personally and professionally”, said Prof. Dr Helmut Thoma, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of freenet AG.
Mr Preisig’s successor as CFO, Ingo Arnold, has been in the company since 2001. He was most recently responsible for controlling, treasury, bad dept management and investor relations.
“Ingo Arnold has many years of experience in both the company and the sector. His proven financial expertise will ensure continuity and new energy for our business”, added Prof. Dr Thoma.
