Changes on the Management Board: Gabi Schupp to become new Director of Tableware at Villeroy & Boch AG

The Supervisory Board of Villeroy & Boch AG has appointed Gabi Schupp Director of Tableware with effect from 1 February 2019. She thus succeeds Nicolas Luc Villeroy who, after more than 30 years of work at Villeroy & Boch, will be standing down as a member of the Management Board on 31 January 2019 and leaving the company to devote himself to other tasks.

“We are deeply obliged to Nicolas Luc Villeroy for his many years of commitment to Villeroy & Boch, and we wish him all the very best for the future”, said Yves Elsen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Villeroy & Boch AG. “In Gabi Schupp, we are delighted to have been joined by an acknowledged brand and consumer goods expert for the Tableware Division. She has already proved her competence and entrepreneurial energy in management and leading marketing positions at national and international level with great success, and will continue to press ahead with the ongoing reorientation of Tableware.”

Following her business management studies and MBA degree, Gabi Schupp started her career in marketing at Procter&Gamble (P&G) and worked there for more than 20 years in various managerial positions, leading several P&G brands to profitable growth at local, regional and global level. Having spent several years managing the division for health and beauty products in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, she ultimately joined the global P&G management team at P&G’s European headquarters in Geneva and, as managing director of ‘Wella Professional’, took on responsibility for a beauty brand whose revenue is among the highest worldwide. Most recently, she worked for leadership consultants Spencer Stuart as head of the consumer goods and retail division for Europe, the Middle East and Africa
