Smiths Group plc announces that Richard Howes, a Non-executive Director, has today purchased 3,102 Ordinary Shares of the Company at £15.994950 per share. His Notification of Transaction Form can be found below.

Richard Howes has also today entered into a binding commitment via a trading plan (the "Share Purchase Agreement"), to purchase Ordinary Shares of the Company on a quarterly basis using 20% of his after-tax fees received from the Company. The first purchase under the Share Purchase Agreement will occur on 1 February 2022 with subsequent purchases to occur on or around the first business day of each quarter of the Company's financial year. 

This notification is made in accordance with the requirements of the UK Market Abuse Regulation.
