Severn Trent Plc - Board Changes

The Board of Severn Trent Plc today announces that Sarah Legg has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company and of Severn Trent Water Limited with effect from 1 November 2022. 

Sarah has been appointed as a member of the Nominations, Audit and Risk, Treasury and Corporate Sustainability Committees.   She brings extensive corporate finance and significant audit and risk experience gained in the financial services sector to the Company.  She is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director at Lloyds Banking Group plc, Chair of its Audit Committee and a member of its Risk and Responsible Business Committees.

Sarah has spent her entire career in financial services with HSBC in finance leadership roles. She was the Group Financial Controller, a Group General Manager, and also Chief Financial Officer for HSBC's Asia Pacific region. She also spent eight years as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Hang Seng Bank Limited, a Hong Kong listed bank.  Sarah is also Chair of the Campaign Advisory Board, Member of the Development Committee, King's College, Cambridge University, Board Member of the Audit Committee Chairs' Independent Forum and Trustee of the Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales.
