freenet AG: Annual General Meeting resolves unchanged dividend of 1.65 euros per dividend-bearing share for financial year 2018
– Annual General Meeting approved dividend volume of again 211.2 million euros (previous year: 211.2 million euros)
Büdelsdorf, 16 May 2019 – The shareholders of freenet AG [ISIN DE000A0Z2ZZ5] followed the proposal of the management as well as supervisory board at the Annual General Meeting and resolved by a majority of 99.79 per cent to pay a dividend of 1.65 euros per dividend-bearing share for financial year 2018 (previous year: 1.65 euros). The dividend payment thus amounts to a total of 211.2 million euros and is unchanged compared to the previous year.
The dividend of 1.65 euros per dividend-bearing share is carried out from the tax deposit account in accordance with § 27 Corporate Income Tax Act on 21 st May 2019 (payment date). Consequently, the dividend will be paid without deduction of capital gains tax and solidarity surcharge.
All other agenda topics proposed by the administration were also resolved by the shareholders with the required majorities. The capital presence at the Annual General Meeting was approximately 44.52 per cent including postal votes received.
