Chrysanthos Christoforou was born in 1979, in Limassol, Cyprus.
Mr Christoforou graduated in law (LL.B Hons) from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, in 2002. He continued his studies and he was next awarded an LL.M in International Commercial and Business Law and was further awarded a second Master's Degree, LL.M in International Trade Law.
Following his studies in the United Kingdom he returned to Cyprus and was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 2004 as a practicing lawyer-member of the Limassol Bar Association. He practices law ever since.
Mr Christoforou currently heads the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department of Elias Neocleous & Co LLC, the leading Cyprus law firm, representing local international clients in domestic and cross-border disputes. He specialises in corporate litigation, shareholder's disputes, international trade law, injunctions, contract law, energy law and intellectual property. In his almost 16 years as a practicing lawyer, Mr Christoforou has represented successfully numerous multinational entities and high net worth individuals in various disputes in the aforementioned areas.
He has written various legal articles published in international legal journals including the Cyprus chapters on "International Execution against Judgment Debtors" published by Oxford University Press, "Doing Business in Europe" published by Sweet and Maxwell, "Getting the Deal Through - Public Procurement" published by Law Business Research, "Doing Business in Cyprus" published by Sweet and Maxwell and many others.
Mr Christoforou was recently awarded the prize of "Lawyer of the Year - Cyprus", by Benchmark Litigation Europe which is one of the world's leading rating houses for law firms focusing on dispute resolution matters.
