Aligning the composition of Rockwool Group's top management to future needs with even more focus on customers and global markets

The Rockwool Group will be strengthened by establishment of a new top management position called Group Business Development – to be filled by Bo Rygaard.

Bo (44 years old) is presently Managing Director of Rockwool Scandinavia. He holds an M.Sc in Business Administration and has prior to his career in the Rockwool Group held leading positions in Nordisk Film, the Fazer Group and Duni AB. He will as of 1 October become responsible for development on Group level of new business initiatives, branding, communication and enforcement of the gradual change towards globalisation of the business and organisation. Bo Rygaard will also become Chairman of the supervisory committees of Rockwool Scandinavia and Rockwool Technical Insulation.

Bo will be succeeded by Thomas Kähler who is today Managing Director of RockDelta.

The position in Group Management as Senior Vice President Group Technology will cease to exist and therefore Carsten Winther will leave the company. Carsten Winther has had a long and successful career in the Rockwool Group where he has played an important role in establishing a strong technical platform for the future development of the company.

Three of the present six functions under Group Technology will be combined into a new department Group Production reporting to member of Group Management and Division Managing Director Theo Kooij.

Division Managing Director Patrice Azaïs will also leave Group Management and take up the Managing Directorship of the organisation servicing the global sandwich panel market.

Fully in line with the requirements for cost efficiency due to the present market situation, Group Management has been reduced from 8 to 7 members whilst increasing focus towards our customers and selected market segments. The Group's members of "Direktionen" will hereafter be CEO Eelco van Heel and CFO Gilles Maria.
