Settlement of IP dispute in the United States

Company Announcement to the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority No.
22-2010, 8 June 2010

Excel Foundry & Machine, Inc. and FLSmidth-Excel, LLC have settled an
intellectual property dispute with Metso Minerals Inc. (Metso) related to the
protection of certain intellectual property rights, which had been scheduled for
trial in the Federal Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, USA.

(See Stock Exchange Announcement No. 13-2008, 18 March 2008).

Excel Foundry and Machine, Inc. and FLSmidth-Excel, LLC denied wrongdoing, but
have agreed to resolve the matter for USD 25 Million in an otherwise
confidential settlement.

A major part of the settled amount was recorded as expenses in the 2009 accounts
and therefore the settlement does not alter the expectations to FLSmidth's
earnings for 2010.
