Election of Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors

We would like to announce that at its meeting of yesterday, 26/07/2023, the Company's Board of Directors elected Mr. George Kourris (Non-Executive, Independent Director) as the new Chairman of the Company's Board.

Mr. George Kourris has been a member of the Board of Directors since 13 June 2019 and up until his election to the position of Chairman of the Company's Board as above, he served as Non-Executive, Vice-Chairman of the Board. He had also been appointed by the Board as Senior Non-Executive Independent Director, Chairman of the Audit Committee, Member of the Appointments Committee and Member of the Risk Management Committee.

Mr. George Kourris holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Accounting from the University of Manchester. He worked at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co in London and was admitted a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1983. Since 1983 he worked in Cyprus at Whinney, Murray & Co and as from 1989 at Ernst & Young. He was promoted to partner in 1987 with a specialisation in banking and financial services. In 1999 he was elected Managing Partner of Ernst & Young Cyprus, a position he held until 2012 when he left Ernst & Young. He is a member of the board of directors of family-owned companies, including a general insurance company. He served for eleven years as an elected member of the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and also as the first past President of the Cyprus - UK Business Association. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus.

The Company's Board of Directors will proceed, in due time, to the restructuring of the Committees and other officer positions, in accordance and for purposes of full compliance with the provisions of the Corporate Governance Code.
