Kwartaal Trading Update

Gang van zaken 1^e kwartaal 2010

Tijdens het eerste kwartaal van 2010 bleef de handel zeer actief en waren alle groepsactiviteiten winstgevend. De eerder toegelichte en hoofdzakelijk positieve trends van het laatste kwartaal 2009 bleven ook in de afgelopen periode gelden. Er zijn tekenen van enige stabilisatie van de wereldeconomieën, nochtans zal het herstel lang en moeizaam zijn. De fragiliteit van het herstel zal in onze ogen voor een grote prijsvolatiliteit blijven zorgen die goede mogelijkheden biedt aan een handelshuis als Acomo maar ook een stijging van de risico's met zich brengt.

Om die reden kunnen wij geen voorspelling doen over het verdere handelsverloop in 2010 en over de resultaten van de groep. Directie en commissarissen hebben echter groot vertrouwen in het talent van onze traders om zowel in stijgende als in dalende markten kansen te benutten en winstgevend te handelen.

Current performance 1st quarter 2010

In the first quarter 2010 trading remained very active and all group activities were profitable. The positive trends of the last quarter 2009 noted earlier continued in the first months of 2010. There are some signs of stabilisation of the world economies, but the recovery will be long and painful. The fragile economic situation will continue to cause high price volatility and creates opportunities for trading houses like Acomo, but also entails increased risks.

For these reasons, it is not possible to make a forecast about the further development of trading activities and the results of the group in 2010. Management and supervisory directors have, however, confidence in the talent of our trading teams to make good use of trading opportunities and to trade profitably in both upward as well as downward markets.
