CPH: International traffic driving growth

Copenhagen Airport topped the 1.9 million passenger mark in April, making this
the 13th consecutive monthly record. International passengers and the important
transfer traffic continued to drive growth. The year-to-date increase in
passenger numbers was 6.0%.

A total of 1,919,884 million passengers travelled through Copenhagen Airport in
April, representing a 5.0% year-on-year increase.

"Transfer traffic continued to be the main growth driver, but the bankruptcy of
Danish-based airline Cimber Sterling shows how sensitive this traffic is. Both
domestic traffic and the important feeder traffic will be affected by the
bankruptcy, and we must therefore reconnect the nodes of the domestic route
network as quickly as possible after the collapse of Cimber Sterling. At the
same time, we must facilitate feeder traffic for the network carriers'
international services. This is important in order to sustain the hub position
of Copenhagen Airport," said, Carsten Nørland, VP, Sales and Marketing for
Copenhagen Airport.

Traffic was adversely affected by the Easter period, as this year's peak
departure days before the holidays were in March. This had the effect that the
number of departing passengers grew by only 2.5% in April, and charter
passengers dropped by 11.6%. Traffic growth for March and April taken together
was 6.1%.

On the top-ten list, Paris took over the fourth place from Aalborg, whilst
Brussels ousted Zurich from the list as compared with April of last year.
