Hans Savonije, COO, Royal Unibrew A/S, has been appointed acting Managing Director of Oy Hartwall Ab effective immediately. Hans Savonije replaces Pekka Rantala, who has been with Hartwall since end of October 2013.

Hartwall was acquired by Royal Unibrew by the end of August last year. Royal Unibrew wishes to accelerate the integration of Hartwall and strengthen the cooperation between Hartwall and Royal Unibrew.

The collaboration between the Royal Unibrew Group and Pekka Rantala has not been optimal, and we have therefore agreed to end our cooperation with immediate effect.

A search for a new Managing Director has been initiated.

Karsten Slotte, member of the board of directors of Royal Unibrew and former CEO of Oy Karl Fazer Ab, has accepted to act as a senior advisor to Hans Savonije in his role as acting Managing Director of Oy Hartwall Ab, until a new Managing Director of Hartwall is on board.
