GEA closes sale of refrigeration contracting operations in Spain and Italy
Düsseldorf, November 5, 2021 – GEA has successfully concluded the sale of its refrigeration contracting activities in Spain and Italy, to Clauger, as was contractually agreed in June 2021. The closing took place on October 29, 2021.The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial details of the transaction. The sale does not affect GEA’s compressor selling business in the two countries, which will be continued by GEA.
Clauger is a French family-owned company that specializes in industrial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. Based near Lyon, Clauger employs approximately 1,600 employees and generated sales of 350 million EUR in 2020.
