Preliminary Unaudited Net Asset Value announcement for 31 December 2021

The Board of Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust PLC is pleased to announce a preliminary unaudited net asset value of 558.8p per share as at 31 December 2021 (546.2p at 30 September 2021).  The net asset value per share is stated after a 16p per share dividend paid in November 2021.  The net asset value total return for the year to 31 December 2021 is 39.5%.

The preliminary unaudited net asset value has been calculated using the underlying managers' latest valuations (including those received since 31 December 2021), which remain subject to review by the Board of Directors and audit by Johnston Carmichael LLP. 

Based on those valuations, as at 31 December 2021, the Company's unlisted investments were valued at £48.8m.  The Company also held cash balances of £24.4m and net current assets of £0.2m making a total net assets position of £73.4m.  The net asset value position is stated following a tender offer of £26m and an interim dividend of £2.9m both made in November 2021.

The audited net asset value per share will be published around 18 March 2022.
