Bastei Lübbe AG receives bonus dividend from Räder GmbH and increases its full-year EBIT forecast

Bastei Lübbe AG (ISIN DE000A1X3YY0) is to receive a bonus dividend of € 1.2 million from Räder GmbH in the current fiscal year 2021/2022. It holds 20% of the capital in Räder GmbH, a company specialising in contemporary home accessories and gift articles. This investment income had not yet been included in the previously announced EBIT forecast of € 11 – 12 million for fiscal year 2021/2022.
Christmas trading, which makes a crucial contribution to business performance, has so far been in line with expectations. Accordingly, the Executive Board is confident of achieving the targets that it has forecast for operating business. On the strength of the aforementioned bonus dividend, the company is now raising its EBIT forecast to € 12 – 13 million. However, in view of the unpredictability of the further course of the coronavirus pandemic and the measures taken in response to it, there are still uncertainties regarding possible adverse effects on the Bastei Lübbe Group’s earnings between now and the end of the fiscal year on 31 March 2022.
