Notification of Proposed Transactions by Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities

Smiths Group plc ("the Company") announces that on 28 September 2021, Karin Hoeing, a Non-executive Director, entered into a binding commitment via a trading plan, to purchase Ordinary Shares of the Company on a quarterly basis using £1,100 deducted each month from the after-tax fees she receives from the Company.  The first purchase will occur on 1 November 2021 with subsequent purchases to occur on or around the first business day of each quarter of the Company's financial year.
