Press Release Paris, October 23nd 2008, 6PM CET
Following six months of construction and according to schedule, Séchilienne-Sidec Group's first photovoltaic power plant in Spain is now operational.
Completed at the end of September, the installation benefits from the former Spanish feed-in tariff scheme, economically more favourable than the new one recently introduced.
The power station, located next to the city of Orgiva in Andalusia on a 6 hectare site, has a power output of 2.3 MWp.
The installation will benefit from the very favourable meteorological conditions of Andalusian Sierra: the annual production is estimated at 3.5 GWh.
