Frédéric Lemoine named Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bureau Veritas

On April 14, 2009, the Supervisory Board of Bureau Veritas took note of the immediate resignation of Jean-Bernard Lafonta as Chairman and member of the Supervisory Board of Bureau Veritas. The Supervisory Board coopted Frédéric Lemoine as Member of the Supervisory Board and appointed him as Chairman of the Supervisory Board and of the Nomination and Compensation Committee of Bureau Veritas.

Frédéric Lemoine, 43 years old, is a graduate of HEC (1986) and of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (1987). He is also a graduate of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration. He is an Inspecteur des Finances.

He was appointed to the position of Chairman of the Executive Board of Wendel on April 7, 2009, to replace Jean-Bernard Lafonta.

From March 2005 to April 2009, he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Areva, after having held several positions, such as Group Vice President and Chief Financial Officer within the Capgemini Group, and Deputy General Secretary of the Presidency of the French Republic.
