Half-year earnings in line with the annual forecast

Sales at February $28^{th}$ , 2009 are down 46.7% compared with February $29^{th}$ , 2008. This downturn comes out at 42.6% like-for-like, i.e. excluding Microcar and Wauquiez, which were removed from the basis for consolidation during the second half of FY 2007-08.

In light of this fall and the seasonal nature of its business, the Bénéteau Group recorded €30.9 million in negative operating income for the first half of the year and a net loss of €20.3 million, compared with a net profit of €29.8 million last year.

Operating income on the Boat business came to -€35 million (compared with +€28.4 million last year), with sales down 46.4% to €173.4 million.

The Leisure Home business recorded $\epsilon$ 4.1 million in operating income (compared with $\epsilon$ 10.5 million last year), with sales down 30.5% to €65 million.

On the whole, the current level of the order books, on both Boat and Home activities, as well as the earnings for the first half of the year make it possible to confirm the Group's annual forecast released at the end of January:

• $\rightarrow$ Boat business: sales down 45%, with a current operating loss of $\epsilon$ 18 million.
• $\rightarrow$ Leisure Home business: sales down by around 15%, with around $\epsilon$ 14 million in operating income.
