Dornbirn / Austria - Thomas Spitzenpfeil, Chief Financial Officer of the Zumtobel Group, has announced his intention to resign in order to pursue a career opportunity on the management board of a German corporation. His employment contract with Zumtobel AG will be terminated as of 30 September 2010. Thomas Spitzenpfeil will exercise his duties in full until this date. Spitzenpfeil, 47 years old, has been CFO of Zumtobel AG since May 2004.

During his six years with Zumtobel AG, Mr. Spitzenpfeil accompanied the initial public offering in 2006 and played an important role in the continuing professionalisation of the company´s financial organisation. On behalf of the Supervisory Board and Management Board of Zumtobel AG, I would like to thank him for his many achievements over the years and wish him all the best for the future," commented Jürg Zumtobel, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zumtobel AG.
The Supervisory Board will immediately start the process to choose a successor, whereby these actions will be closely coordinated with the Management Board.
Thomas Spitzenpfeil started his career with Robert Bosch GmbH in 1990, and became Head of Controlling Aluminium at VIAG AG in 1993. He was named Head of Works Controlling at Kodak AG in Stuttgart during 1995 and held various management positions with VAW Aluminium AG from 1996 to 2002. After the takeover of VAW Aluminium AG by Norsk Hydro in 2002 he was appointed CFO of the Rolled Products Division. Mr. Spitzenpfeil joined Zumtobel AG, Dornbirn, Austria, as CFO in 2004.
