Lagardère Entertainment and EuropaCorp begin production of Transporter TV series

Paris, 26 April 2010 – Lagardère Entertainment and EuropaCorp confirm their agreements to coproduce Transporter – The Series, the TV version of the successful film franchise created by EuropaCorp (total box office of USD 238m for all three films* ).

Transporter – The Series, a European production, will be filmed in English with a budget of USD 4m per episode. Atlantique Productions, a subsidiary of Lagardère Entertainment, will be responsible for financing and line producing the first season, which will include 12 one hour‐long episodes. Commercial talks are already under way with major international television channels.

"For EuropaCorp, the launch of this series forms part of the strategy of enhancing the value of the Group's brands, as well as the desire to strengthen the level of recurring revenues with international expansion plans," states Luc Besson, Chairman of the Board.

Takis Candilis, Senior Vice President, Audiovisual Production, at Lagardère Entertainment and Chairman of Atlantique Production, welcomes the collaboration between the two French groups in the production of a high‐end international series. "Transporter – The Series fits in fully with the focus on international productions developed by Atlantique as part of Lagardère Entertainment. This proves that France, and by extension Europe, can be the driving force behind international productions when they are based on such strong concepts as Luc Besson's Transporter."

Filming of Transporter – The Series is due to begin in 2011 in Europe and Canada. Klaus Zimmermann, CEO of Atlantique Production, will oversee production.
