SW Umwelttechnik: Simplifying the structure in Austria

Shares in Iso Span Baustoffwerk GmbH sold

Focus on our core business of water conservation

The SW Umwelttechnik group is taking over the shares of 26 % that the Salzburg family company Betonwerk Rieder GmbH has been holding in the SW Österreich GmbH and thus now holds 100 % of the company focused on water conservation. As a countermove the 50 % shareholding in Iso Span Baustoffwerk GmbH in Ramingstein is sold off to the Betonwerk Rieder GmbH. This means that SW Umwelttechnik is simplifying its structure and now has a sole focus on its core business of water conservation in Austria.

Managing director Dr. Bernd Wolschner says: "these simplified structures are an ideal basis for strengthening our core business and enhances both further growth and innovations. In addition it means that we will be improving our market position in the water / wastewater market and will be able to intensively press ahead with product innovations already set in motion."

Iso Span Baustoffwerk GmbH will retroactively be end consolidated with 01 January 2012 and SW Österreich GmbH will be included into the consolidation with 100 %, rather than the previous 74 %. SW considers itself a niche player in the area of precast cement components with a special consideration on protecting the environment.
