New general contractor for Złota 44

Orco Property has appointed Inso/Consorzio Cooperative Costruzioni (CCC) consortium as the general contractor for the luxury residential tower Złota 44 designed by Daniel Libeskind. The contractor was selected upon a tender that has been conducted for the last few weeks.

The prompt decision on the general contractor for Zlota 44 means that works on the tower's construction will be re-launched in January 2011, which gives a chance to complete the external works before Euro 2012. The preparations of the general contractor to recommence construction works has already begun including execution design, organizational works, materials and equipment orders.

"We all do care about keeping the date. That is why, while choosing the general contractor for our investment, we took into consideration pace of works, as we cannot afford any more standstills" – stresses Jean-Francois Ott, President & Founder of Orco Property Group.

Consorzio Cooperative Costruzioni is one of the Italy's most prominent construction consortiums. It has been established in 1912. Some of its noteworthy investments include Business Centre Point de Simon (Martinique), Court Building in Florence, and E-Towers in Milan. CCC is also responsible for restoration of the La Scala opera house in Milan.
