Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, November 3, 2011 – Mr. Sami Badarani was appointed Executive Vice President and Group Chief Financial Officer on November 2, 2011. He joined Bureau Veritas on February 28, 2011 as Deputy Chief Financial Officer and is to take over from Mr. François Tardan, who has headed the Bureau Veritas Finance department since 1998. Mr. Tardan's mandate as Executive Officer ends as of November 2, 2011 and will ensure the handover until the end of 2011.

Sami Badarani, 48 years of age, joined Bureau Veritas on February 28, 2011 as Deputy Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Committee. He began his career at Accenture before moving to General Electric in 1996. Specialized in corporate finance, Mr. Badarani spent 13 years in financial teams at GE in Europe and the US, including GE Healthcare, GE Energy, GE Lighting and GE Corporate. In 2004, he was promoted to chief financial officer at GE Contractual Services in Atlanta, where he successfully accompanied the expansion and globalization of the business over five years. He joined Alliance Boots in 2009 as group finance director based in London, covering all corporate aspects of the finance division. Sami Badarani is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité (France, 1987).
