Aéroports de Paris October 2011 traffic figures

Passenger traffic

In October 2011, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic increased by 2.2% compared to October 2010, with a total of 7.6 million passengers handled including 5.3 million at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (+1.3%) and 2.3 million at Paris-Orly (+4.5%).

  • International traffic (excluding Europe) is flat at -0.1%. Middle East and Africa still decreased respectively by 10.6% and 4.6%. All other routes increased: French Overseas Departments and Territories +7.2% ; Asia/Pacific +6.6% ; North America +3.4%, Latin America +1.2%.
  • European traffic (excluding France) was up 3.6%, whereas Schengen countries grew by 3.2%. Great Britain and Ireland increased by 0.7%.
  • Traffic within France increased by 4.1%.
  • The number of connecting passengers rose by 8.4%. The connecting passenger rate was up 24.1% against 22.8% in October 2010.

From January 2011 to October 2011, passenger traffic increased by 5.7% year-on-year. The number of connecting passengers grew by 7.0%. The connecting rate came in at 23.4% against 23.1% over the first ten months of 2010.

Aircraft movements

The number of aircraft movements increased by 2.6% in October 2011 year-on-year (with +1.0% at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and +6.5% at Paris-Orly). Since the start of the year, the number of aircraft movements has risen by 4.1%.
