INTERIM DIVIDEND FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2021

SCRIP ALTERNATIVE

SSE plc was notified on 15 February 2021 that a total of 26,632 shareholders have elected to receive the interim dividend for the year ended 31 March 2021 of 24.4 pence per ordinary share in respect of 55,265,643 ordinary shares in the form of Scrip dividend.  This will result in a reduction in interim dividend cash funding of £13,484,817.

A total of 883,408 new ordinary shares, fully paid, will be issued on 11 March 2021, representing an increase of 0.08% on the issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) on the dividend record date of 15 January 2021.  The relevant Scrip Reference Share Price was 1,523 pence per ordinary share.
