Rosenbauer, the leading supplier to the fire fighting sector, has once again won an order from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of the Interior, this time to supply apparatus with a total value of EUR 150 million. 800 fire fighting vehicles are to be supplied, of various types and for various operational purposes, together with other civil defense equipment.

The vehicles are to be manufactured at the Rosenbauer plants in Leonding and Traun (Austria), Karlsruhe (Germany), Lyons (SD, USA) and Spain. The order as a whole is be fulfilled in several part-deliveries spread across the next 24 months, i.e. through until mid-2016.

The new vehicles are primarily intended to enhance fire protection and civil defense in Saudi Arabia, and to upgrade the operational capabilities of the country's fire services. The new apparatus, which includes a large number of different versions, will be precisely tailored to match the wide-ranging requirements of the fire services concerned.
