Aéroports de Paris January 2012 traffic figures

Passenger traffic

In January 2012, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic increased by 3.1% compared to January 2011, with a total of 6.4 million passengers handled including 4.5 million at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (+3.3%) and 1.9 million at Paris-Orly (+2.7%).

  • International traffic (excluding Europe) increased by 3.0%. Except Asia-Pacific (-0.1%) and Middle East (-3.9%), all destinations increased: French Overseas Departments and Territories +12.3%, Latin America +5.1%, North America +4.0%, and Africa +2.4%.
  • European traffic (excluding France) was up 4.2%, whereas Schengen countries grew by 4.0%. Great Britain and Ireland increased by 1.2%.
  • Traffic within France increased by 1.1%.
  • The number of connecting passengers rose by 10.8%. The connecting passenger rate was up 28.3% against 26.6% in January 2011.

The number of aircraft movements decreased by 1.8% in January 2012 year-on-year (with -1.8% at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and -1.9% at Paris-Orly). In January 2012, the passenger load factor stood at 73.4% against 69.7% in January 2011.
