The Cap 3000 shopping center in Saint-Laurent-du-Var is home to a new and redesigned 32,000-ft² (3,000-m²) mall made up of 12 new shops and restaurants: Desigual (7,500 ft² / 700m²), American Vintage, Guess, Comptoir des Cotonniers, Sud Express, Massimo Dutti, G-Star, Zapa, Préférences (luxury leather goods), Starbucks, Muze (concept store) and Misaki (cultured pearls).

Desigual, Guess, Sud Express, Massimo Dutti, G-Star, Zapa and Starbucks will open on June 28, 2012; Comptoir des Cotonniers in July; Préférences and American Vintage in August; Muze and Misaki in September.

The new mall extends across the Central Plaza from the Porte de Nice to the Porte de Cannes. It is named "Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat," after the lush green penninsula located 6 miles (10 km) from Nice.

The Central Plaza was renovated for the occasion, and now features a relaxation area and an activity area, along with more kiosks and a new Reception Center. This center offers Cap 3000 customers a variety of services, including a concierge service, a cloakroom and a health insurance office.

Acquired by Altarea Cogedim in 2010, Cap 3000 ranks among the largest shopping centers in France. It features France's third-largest Apple Store, the second largest nation-wide pharmacy, Galeries Lafayette and Lafayette Gourmet, and more than 150 shops and restaurants.
