Quilter plc (the "Company") announces today it has purchased the following specified number of its ordinary shares of 7 pence (Sterling) each from the Johannesburg Stock Exchange via Goldman Sachs International. (1)
Johannesburg Stock Exchange - Summary
Date of purchase: 30 September 2020
Aggregate number of ordinary shares purchased: 72,397
Lowest price paid per share ZAR 27.6500
Highest price paid per share ZAR 28.0700
Average price paid per share ZAR 27.8541
The Company intends to cancel the purchased shares.
Since 25 June 2020, the Company has purchased 26,881,629 shares on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange at a cost (including dealing and associated costs) of ZAR 821,289,821.45 (2).
These purchases are the last purchases to be made under the "Tranche 2a" programme on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange between the Company, on the one hand, and Goldman Sachs International, on the other hand, announced on 25th June 2020, as that programme has been completed in accordance with its terms. As previously announced on 17th September 2020, the "Tranche 2a" programme on the London Stock Exchange between the Company, on the one hand, and Goldman Sachs International, on the other hand, announced on 25th June 2020, has also been completed in accordance with its terms. Therefore the "Tranche 2a" programme announced on 25th June 2020 has been completed.
Following the above transactions, the Company has 1,805,691,848 ordinary shares in issue and holds no ordinary shares in treasury.
