Aéroports de Paris August 2013 traffic figures

In August 2013, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic increased by 4.4% compared to August 2012 with a total of 8.8 million passengers including 6.1 million at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (+3.8%) and 2.7 million at Paris-Orly (+6.0%).

Traffic in August 2013 took advantage of a catch-up after July been affected by a decrease in trips linked to Ramadan, concentrated on July in 2013 (from 9 July to 8 August in 2013 vs. from 20 July to 19 August in 2012).

• International traffic (excluding Europe) recorded strong increase (+7.3%). All destinations were growing: Middle East (+11.4%), French Overseas Territories (+7.5%), Africa (+7.4%), North America (+6.6%), Latin America (+6.5%) and Asia-Pacific (+5.7%).
• European traffic (excluding France) increased by 2.4%.
• Traffic within France was up by 2.3%.
• The number of connecting passengers increased by 6.7%. The connecting rate stood at 23.4%, up by 0.4 point.

Traffic increased by 2.0% if both July and August 2013 were compared to the same months in 2012.

Since the beginning of 2013, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic has increased slightly by 0.9% with a total of 60.7 million passengers. The number of connecting passengers was up by 1.5%. The connecting rate stood at 23.6%, up by 0.1 point.

Passenger traffic at TAV Airports, 38%-owned by Aéroports de Paris, increased by 13.3% in August 2013 and has risen by 19.3% (1) since the beginning of the year.
