FINAL DIVIDEND FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2020
SCRIP ALTERNATIVE
SSE plc was notified on 25 August 2020 that a total of 26,672 shareholders have elected to receive the final dividend for the year ended 31 March 2020 of 56 pence per ordinary share in respect of 45,543,142 ordinary shares in the form of Scrip dividend. This will result in a reduction in final dividend cash funding of £25,504,160.
A total of 1,918,977 new ordinary shares, fully paid, will be issued on 18 September 2020, representing an increase of 0.18% on the issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) on the dividend record date of 24 July 2020. The relevant Scrip Reference Share Price was 1,329 pence per ordinary share.
