CLOSING OF THE EUR 49.7 MILLION PRIVATE PLACEMENT EXPECTED TODAY

Lille (France), Boston (Massachusetts, United States), June 26, 2014 – GENFIT (Euronext: GNFT; ISIN : FR0004163111), a biopharmaceutical company at the forefront of developing therapeutic and diagnostic solutions in metabolic and inflammatory diseases, that notably affect the liver or the gastrointestinal system, announces that its EUR 49.7 million private placement announced on June 23, 2014 is expected to close today. w

Jean-François Mouney, CEO, said: "We are very pleased to close this oversubscribed placement, which included several leading mutual funds and specialist investors within the US and UK, significantly enhancing our shareholder base. These proceeds will solidfy the position of GFT505 as we finalize our Phase 2b study and begin preparing for Phase 3 in 2015, as well our biomarker program in the indication of NASH. The settlement-delivery of the new shares is expected to take place today. The new shares will be listed on Euronext Paris on the same line as Genfit's existing shares (ISIN Code FR0004163111). The new shares are fully fungible with Genfit's existing shares. As the capital increase represents less than 10% of Genfit's outstanding share capital, no prospectus has been established for the purpose of the listing of the shares on Euronext Paris. . f r
