Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Ruffer Investment Company Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Pink as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 September 2020.

Mr Pink, a UK resident, will replace Ashe Windham who will be retiring at the Annual General Meeting on 4 December 2020, at which point Chris Russell will become Chairman of the Board. Meantime, the search is well under way for a director to replace John Baldwin who is planning to retire from the Board in June 2020.

Mr Ashe Windham, Chairman said:

"We are delighted to welcome Nick to the Board. The Board expect him to be a valuable addition given his wide experience of capital markets following his role as Head of Global Research and Head of European Equities at UBS Investment Bank, together with additional expertise in ESG investment."

Mr Pink beneficially holds 31,781 Shares in the Company, including family holdings, which represents 0.12% of the Company's Shares in issue.

In compliance with paragraph 9.6.13 of the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rules, the Company advises that Mr Pink is also a non-executive director of JPMorgan Russian Securities plc, a company listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. There are no other disclosures required to made pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 in connection with the appointment.
