Appointment of Senior Independent Director

Nationwide Building Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Parry as Senior Independent Director. He succeeds Lynne Peacock who retired from the Board of the Society at the end of 2019.

Kevin has been a Non-executive Director of the Society since May 2016 and will remain as Chair of the Society's Audit Committee and a member of the Board Risk  and Nomination and Governance Committees.

David Roberts, Chairman of the Society, said: "Kevin's wealth of experience, expertise and knowledge is invaluable to the Society and its Board. I am delighted that he has  taken up the role of Senior Independent Director and I look forward to working with him in his new role".

Kevin Parry biography

Kevin is a chartered accountant with a distinguished career in financial services and professional practice in both Executive and Non-executive roles. He has been on the Nationwide board for almost four years bringing to the Board, expertise in audit, regulation, risk management and finance. Kevin is Chairman  of Royal London Group and a Non-executive Director and Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee of Daily Mail and General Trust plc. He was previously Chairman of Intermediate Capital Group plc, Senior Independent Director of Standard Life Aberdeen PLC and trustee and Chairman of the Royal National Children's SpringBoard Foundation.
