NEXT Biometrics enters new market segment with an order for NEXT Basalt FAP20 for access control tablets
Oslo, 29 December 2025 - NEXT Biometrics, the world leader in advanced high-security fingerprint sensor technology, has received an order from a new customer, Realtime Biometrics India Pvt. Ltd., for access control tablets integrated with NEXT Basalt FAP 20 sensor. For strong authentication, to be integrated into access panels for smooth and safe access into offices and lobbies.

This is a new product with delivery scheduled for Q4 2025. This is the first mass production order with a long-term potential.
NEXT’s Active Thermal® technology uses both heat from the finger and 3D imaging to authenticate the user. This enables superior authentication speed and liveness detection to combat spoofing attacks, when compared with other fingerprint authentication technologies. The product also minimizes energy consumption and delivers exceptional performance in varying light and environmental conditions.
