On-site hydrogen generation business veteran expert, Prabhu K. Rao joined McPhy Energy to accelerate its development in North America.
La Motte-Fanjas, November 10th , 2014 - McPhy Energy, specialized in hydrogen based solutions for energy storage and industrial applications, has appointed Prabhu K. Rao Chief Executive Officer of McPhy Energy North America. McPhy will benefit from his 17-year experience at growing on-site generation business addressing both industrial and mobility markets. As a highly experienced professional, Prabhu K. Rao is immediately operational in developing business in North America.
Prabhu K. Rao, has a PhD and dual Masters in Mechanical and Environmental Engineering from Drexel University and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology). He started his career as a founding member of Epyx Inc. and Nuvera Fuel Cells Inc. where he has served in many capacities over the last 17 years. As the company evolved from an R&D organization to a commercially focused entity, Prabhu K. Rao was instrumental in establishing the Technology, Product, Supply Chain and Manufacturing operations. Over the last few years as a Chief Commercial Officer, Prabhu K. Rao lead the development of the on-site hydrogen generation business addressing automotive, material handling and industrial markets.
He has extensive experience in building teams, developing strategic partnerships with suppliers and customers and growing businesses.
