Roebuck Food Group plc (AIM: RFG) announces, with great sadness, the death, following a short illness of long-standing Chairman, Ted O'Neill.

Chief Executive Kieran Mahon commented: "I and the extended Roebuck team express our profound sadness and our sincere sympathies to Ted's beloved wife Gráinne and the O'Neill family. Ted successfully led the Company as Chairman for over 20 years through many phases of development and we will miss him very much."

An announcement will be made in due course as to appointment of Chairman.
