Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited (the 'Company') announces that Janine Feng will join the Board of the Company as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 5th May 2023.  Janine will also join the Audit Committee of the Board with effect from the same date.

Janine is a managing director at Carlyle, focused on Asian buyout opportunities in the financial services, consumer products and healthcare sectors.  Since joining Carlyle in 1998, Janine has led various investments including Carlyle Asia Partners' investments in China Pacific Insurance, Kaiyuan Hotel Group, Haier Electronics, Focus Media, and MicroPort.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Janine was a financial analyst and later a senior associate at Credit Suisse First Boston's investment banking group in New York, where she focused on structured finance and project finance transactions for four and a half years. During the summer of her business school years, Janine worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, Inc.

The Board believes Independent Non-Executive Directors with a broad and diverse range of backgrounds are a valuable source of external perspectives and are a key element of good governance and decision-making and that the Company and the Group will benefit from the expertise and experience that Janine will bring.

In connection with the above Board appointment, the Company advises that Janine Feng has held directorships in the following listed companies in the past five years:

Meinian Onehealth Healthcare Holdings Co., Ltd	Independent Non-Executive Director	Resigned in February 2019
MicroPort Scientific Corporation	Independent Non-Executive Director	Resigned in November 2018
